Warranties

To benefit from the contractual warranty granted by the company, new and old installations, in which the products are incorporated, must be carried out in accordance with the installation standards in force, the rules of the trade and the prescriptions appearing in our technical documents, and must imperatively be carried out by qualified professionals.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION

The contractual warranty periods applying to CEDAM products are as follows:

  • Bathroom furniture and vanity tops: 5 years
  • Durocoat® items (basins and baths): 10 years
  • Mirrors, faucets, bathtubs, shower trays, lighting and other accessories: 2 years (excluding bulbs and consumables)

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

The warranty runs from the date of purchase of the product, formalized by the Cedam invoice date.
The warranty covers products recognized as non-conforming by Cedam, such as defects in materials and workmanship.
Cedam’s liability is limited to the refund or replacement of non-conforming parts. The warranty does not cover labor costs related to these replacements (installation/removal costs).
Parts replaced under warranty become the property of Cedam and must be made available for return. All requests for assistance must be made in writing and forwarded to the retailer, and must be precise in order to facilitate resolution.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The contractual warranty does not cover defects known to the purchaser at the time of purchase or defects visible to the naked eye.
Nor does it cover the consequences of poor storage conditions;

use of unsuitable cleaning or other products (corrosive, abrasive, descaling or degreasing agents containing phosphoric, hydrofluoric or hydrochloric acid);
scratches, indentations, chips or burns after assembly;
accidents or impacts (falling objects, etc.);
damage caused by the direct action of water or its quality (scaling, aggressiveness, corrosion), frozen pipes, leaks in supply or discharge pipes, inadequate ventilation or abnormal heat sources;
damage caused by foreign bodies (sand, filings); bulbs on electrical equipment.
It is important for the purchaser to refer to the provisions of the assembly and maintenance manuals for each product category concerned.
The warranty does not apply to the use of products that have been used for photo shoots or presented in showrooms, fairs, exhibitions and other commercial events.

TRANSPORT DAMAGE

The equipment must be inspected on receipt at the retailer’s, and precise reservations must be made on the delivery note in the event of any damage observed. The declaration of any damage observed must be made to Cedam within 48 hours, with supporting reservations. The warranty does not cover transport damage not reported to the carrier and Cedam in due time.
